Nova Spring is a third-magnitude spring located within the Wekiva River system in Seminole County, Florida. The spring is submerged within the eastern channel of the Wekiva River and forms a circular spring vent roughly 20 feet in diameter beneath the water’s surface.
Clear spring water rises from a sandy boil approximately 25 feet below the river surface before flowing into the Wekiva River channel. Because the spring is submerged and located along the river, it is most often encountered by paddlers, boaters, and divers exploring the Wekiva system rather than traditional spring visitors.
The surrounding area remains heavily wooded, with semi-tropical vegetation lining the riverbanks. Like several other springs in the Wekiva basin, Nova Spring contributes to the clear water and ecological health of one of Central Florida’s most important spring-fed river systems.
