Wacissa Springs County Park is the primary public access point to the Wacissa River and one of the most popular outdoor recreation destinations in Jefferson County. Located south of Tallahassee near the community of Wacissa, the park provides access to crystal-clear spring-fed water, paddling routes, swimming areas, and some of North Florida’s most scenic river landscapes.

The park is the gateway to the Wacissa River and is popular with boaters, swimmers, and snorkelers. It has a real natural, Old Florida feel, with large trees and clear water.

Location and Amenities

Wacissa Springs County Park is located at the southern end of Wacissa Springs Road in Jefferson County, Florida. The road ends at the park, which sits at the headwaters of the Wacissa River.

Amenities here are limited, but open grassy areas near the water make it a popular spot for picnics and family gatherings. There is also a covered pavilion to relax for the day. Because the river is spring-fed, water clarity is often excellent.
