Socrum Spring is a small and little-known spring site in Polk County, Florida, near the community of Socrum. Historical records and older USGS monitoring data indicate that the spring once had visible flow and water quality monitoring activity, though modern public information about the site is limited.
The spring is considered significant because Polk County has relatively few documented natural springs compared to many other parts of Florida. Some local spring enthusiasts have described Socrum Spring as one of the county’s last remaining documented spring features.
Older USGS and Water Quality Portal records indicate sampling activity occurred in the early 2000s, but there does not appear to be continuous modern monitoring data available.
