Henry Green Spring
Henry Green Spring
Henry Green Spring is a small spring in Sumter County, Florida, located west of Interstate 75 near Lake Panasoffkee. The spring forms the headwaters of Little Jones Creek, which eventually flows into Lake Panasoffkee.
The spring is part of the broader Lake Panasoffkee spring system documented by the U.S. Geological Survey. In the USGS study area maps and tables, Henry Green Spring is identified as SP20.
A 1989 Orlando Sentinel article referenced Henry Green Spring as a local swimming spot historically used by area residents before the surrounding region became more developed.
Today, the spring appears to be on or near private property, and public access information is limited. The surrounding landscape consists largely of low-lying wetlands, forest, and karst terrain associated with the Lake Panasoffkee watershed.
